Privacy Policy

Overview

SharpSlot provides booking, walk-in, customer, service, reporting, notification, and calendar-management tools for barbershops and their customers. This policy explains what information SharpSlot processes and how it is used.

Information we process

We process account and business information supplied by administrators and merchants, including names, email addresses, telephone numbers, business details, services, operating hours, and login credentials. We also process booking information supplied by merchants and customers, including customer contact details, appointment times, selected services, booking status, amounts recorded, and related operational notes.

We may process technical and security information such as session identifiers, sign-in activity, rate-limit records, and request metadata needed to operate and protect the service.

Google Calendar data

Connecting Google Calendar is optional and is initiated by the merchant. SharpSlot requests permission to create, update, and remove SharpSlot booking events in the merchant’s primary Google Calendar. We store encrypted authorization tokens and Google event identifiers so that this synchronization can continue.

SharpSlot uses Google Calendar data only to provide the calendar-sync feature requested by the merchant. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. A merchant can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Settings; existing events may remain in Google Calendar after disconnection.

SharpSlot’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate users, operate merchant accounts and public booking pages, manage appointments and walk-ins, synchronize calendars, send configured booking notifications, calculate business reports, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve service reliability.

Service providers and disclosure

We may use infrastructure, database, email-delivery, domain, and calendar providers to operate SharpSlot. They process information only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide SharpSlot, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. We use access controls, encrypted connections, password hashing, and encryption for Google authorization tokens. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

Merchants can update business information and notification preferences in Settings and disconnect Google Calendar at any time. Account holders may request access, correction, or deletion of their information through the SharpSlot support contact provided in the service and Google authorization screen. Customers may contact the merchant with whom they booked to correct or remove booking information.

Children and changes

SharpSlot is a business scheduling service and is not directed to children. We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.

Contact

Privacy questions and requests may be sent to the SharpSlot support address displayed on the Google authorization screen or provided during merchant onboarding.
